thanks for the reply - apologies that it's taken me so long to get back to you. I do indeed know Miss Jasmine Gozzard, she's a cousin, and the daughter of my maternal uncle.

It's amazing to see that so many of the (very) extended family have come on line to find out more about the Gozzard clan.

Is there any concensus of opinion on where the name and family originate, however? Jim told my mother (Jacqueline (nee)Gozzard, John Gozzard's sister, Ernest Gilbert's daughter) that we were originally French Hugenots, who left France with the revocation of the Edict Of Nantes in the C16th. Does this still hold true or have there been more discoveries since?

Re' identifying areas in which Gozzard's now live, for my part I'm in London, and Jasmine is terrorising Scotland, ostensibly studying at Uni - it would seem no corner of the realm is safe......
