I was brought up in Edwinstowe and am the daughter of Irene Joan Bramley(nee Gozzard). There was another Joan Gozzard who was my mother,s cousin. She had one daughter called Jennifer and I believe they moved south somewhere. My maternal grandfather was Ernest Gilbert Gozzard and he was always known as Gil.
I have an aunt Jaqueline (Jackie), uncle John and two cousins, Nick Parker and Jasmine Gozzard.
I know that my grandfather originated from Staffordshire and he moved to Edwinstowe in the mid twenties to work in the local collieries.
He had a sister Evelyn (Dennis) and she had children. We all lived on Fourth Avenue.
