Hello Jan,
Do you have any documentation for the marriage between John Graddy and Margaret Tyler? Or anything that shows your John Graddy's parents?
There were several John Grady/Graddy's. I show one for William Grady and Elizabeth Whitfield. This was the John Grady whom died at the battle of Moore's Creek in the revolutionary war.
Another as you know was John Grady, son of Frederick Grady and Elizabeth Durham. He was born Mar 16, 1778 and had a brother named Durham Grady, b. Jan 21, 1776. But I have found no record of marriage for him nor any children. If you have documentation, I'd love to get a copy of it.
