My gggrandmother is named Elizabeth Graul and during the course of research, I also came across the hanging story. I read it about 20 years ago and my recollection was that this Elizabeth Graul was unmarried and about 16-17 years of age. She was hung for killing her newborn baby. I wish I had some other information for you. I will search through my papers.
