I just found something very interesting. I did a texas death certificate search at http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch. I found the death certificate for JB Green. (The transcriber made an error - his birth date on the certificate is actually 27 Jan 1860). His father is Green and his mother is Smith. However, his wife was Mary Ann Green. Her death certificate is also there. Her father was Thomas A Green and mother JORDAN. I think she is the sibling to Will Henry and Jesse Newton Green. And I think that proves out your speculation that Elizabeth's maiden name was Jordan/Jourdan. It looks like Mary Ann may have married a cousin. What do you think?
