Looking for information pertaining to Joseph Charles Greene born about 1850 in Australia. He came to the U.S. when he was 3. He married Irene L (believe L stands for Layontine) Barut. She was born January 12, 1857 in Calaveras County,California and died Oct 23, 1946 in San Francisco.
I have only been able to find the family in a 1900 California census record. 1910, Irene is listed as being a widow and living with her father and children, meaning Joseph died between 1900-1910
Charle's occupation was listed as engineer and his parents from Ireland.
Census record indicates they were married 17 years, had 9 children with 6 living

Emily Layontine 1899-1949 (my gr grandmother)
