Extensive family history lists a Rev. Thomas E. Green. father as John Moore Green born in PA 1832. His grand father was a Thomas Green born. 1782 in VA. died in PA 1876. Thomas Green of VA was married twice. First wife was Maragaret Ake from Maryland, They had 4 sons. First born William Green 1816 is my direct. She died in 1824. He then in 1825 married Martha Galbraith born 1796 in PA. They had nine children including the 5th born who was father to a Rev. Thomas E. Green. Records from local Genealogical Society about 100 years old lists his father and mother as("John Moore Green Born March 21, 1832 (in PA); died 1915 (where unknown), married Martha McCreary. Thier son Rev. Thomas E. Green, D.D. 1857 Cedar Rapids Iowa"). John Moore Green (1832) was half brother to my direct William Green (1816). Martha Galbraith born April 25 1796 in PA. After the death of Thomas Green 1876 she moved to Chicago Ill, with a son. She died Aug 28, 1889. Thomas Green of Va father was a Andrew Green of Fairfax VA born about (1755-1759) and mother was Jane Daumer. Lots more information is available if you need it. Please note census records for the same family members can show Green or Greene, some relatives in the past added the "e" to Green. Richard Lynn Greene
