Stacie, I took another run at the 1850 census. The H. J. Green whom I found earlier with wife Mary was not your Halsey. Mary did not match Celia/Cyrena... I found Halsie in Warren County. ancestry has him indexed incorrectly. Interestingly, in 1850 his birthplace is listed in RI. Albert was 2 months old and the census date was 24 Oct. So he was b ca Aug 1850. There are three Green families listed together: Christopher (wife Dorothy), 64, b RI; James S., 31, b PA; and Halsie, 33. I checked the same three genealogies. Lots of Christophers in "The Greenes of RI." One in Desc of Joseph. None in the Levi book. But none of them matched. It's a good bet that James S and Halsie were sons of Christopher. I found two Christopher Greenes in Warwick, Kent Co, RI in 1810. One could be this Christopher, the other was probably too old. But being in Warwick both were probably desc of John of Warwick and hence related to the general. In 1820 there are two Christophers in New York state, two in Warwick RI; none in Pennsylvania. Both of them in NY appear to be too old. I could not find the tribalpages family tree. Bill Notify Administrator about this message?
