In Ancestry there is a Mary Scott searching for Greenfield in East Lothian Scotland in ca1665 up into 1800's. There was a John Greenfield in Yester E Lothian witnessing a baptism in 1661 Jan 29. There was a William Greenfield that patented land in 1684 in Bristol Parish, Henrico Co Virginia. He sold it before 1712. Thats all I know of Greenfields in VA, and Scotland. The baptism was for a Robert Fergusone and Robert relocated to Bristol Par. ca1670's with his father, Robert. I am going by land records for VA. My question is could the Greenfield's and Ferguson's be family or friends? Would William in VA, and John in Scotland be related?
