Cynthia, any idea what became of John Greenfield?? I'm trying to make a connection here. I have Archibald I (from whom all of us Greenfields come), which just mysteriously pops up in Dunbar Scotland about 1675. We can find no records of his origins.....HOWEVER, I have a John Greenfield, as witness to a baptism in Dunbar 1/29/1661. Was he possibly the father, or perhaps, an uncle to the child baptised? My hunch is that the child baptised was Archibald (died 1705, Dunbar). It has been speculated Archibald was born abt 1650 (place unknown), however this connection seems strong, any insight????
