My records show two Sarah's. Sarah Dole and Sarah Hills. They were either married to the same Edmund, or there are two Edmund's, brothers. One was born in 1573 and the other in 1590, both sons of John Greenleaf born 1510. Edmund made trips, back and forth to England, That's how he came to America in 1620 and yet his son Stephen is born in England and comes to America in 1635. The secret of the first Greenleaf in America is that he may have been two men, brothers 17 born years apart, acting as one person in two places at once. I haven’t made up my mind yet. The lifespan of the men in the Greenleaf line is exceedingly long and unless taken by trauma of war they lived into their 80's-90's when the average lifespan was 35-40.
