I am not related to the Grotts but I have an old copper mug with the name Ellis Wainwright on it and presented by F.E.Grotts.My G uncle Charles Eggers worked for Ellis Wainwright in the 1800s in St Louis Mo.I have learned a lot about Ellis,but I'm curius about Mr Grotts. As a child I remember my G uncle mentioning the Wainwrights,I'm almost 83 years old.I think he and his wife worked at thier home.I do not have any idea how my family ended up with this mug.I thought this may inerest you.
