Jim,
Rabbitts is a new one, I haven't seen.

Now here's what little I know. I went to school with a Haas, I remember the road on which he lived, but at the moment forget his first name. My years books are packed away. That's beginning to not work in my favor, as I am finding relatives of whom I went to school and didn't know much about family. I would just hear surnames mentioned most of the time.

There is a small place outside of Toledo, and Oregon (now incorporated from Toledo) by the name of Harbor View, OH by Lake Erie. Yes, I know Sandusky is further east than that.
That is where this Haas lived on Bayshore Rd. I always thought he was cute, but I was bashful back then and no one knew I noticed. He lived across from one of my girlfriends I often visited.

My gg-grandmother, maiden name Dorsey/etc married a Woolley. She had a grandmother Hannah H Wooley who married a Charles Dorsey. Here's where I get to your family. My gg-grandmother's sister, Elizabeth Dorsey b 1821 married James House/Haas/Hess/Haus/Houston/Hopper/Hadsall/Hauser/Hoston/etc. Later, Elizabeth married Isaac Woods. This family was in OH too.

Here are some given names I have in my research under some of the variations of the names I mentioned.

Frances Haas
Isabel Hadsall
John Hauser
Albert House 1860
Frank House d 1924
Jane House 1841
John House
Lorenzo Dow House
Lorenzo House 184.-1908
Margaret House 1844-1915
William House d 1923
Andrew Huston
Huston, Eunice Alwilda 1858-1924
John Andrew Huston 1863?
Mary Lucetta Huston 1857
Robert M Huston 1853

As this wasn't my direct line other than an Uncle and Aunt, I haven't done much more search than that. I'm still haveing trouble finding my grandfather, but know now, he may have too come from Sandusky area.

Many of my family were once buried in Rosedale Cemetery in Auglaize Co., OH. Once I found an online cousin, I thought her information was wrong when we got to the end, as she had them buried elsewhere and her grandfather had verified it while he was alive. I was really disappointed, until I found someone to check for me and find none of my families were any longer there.

Some were moved to Cedar Point, OH (I'm figuring you too know where that is) and some were moved to Sandusky and others went to Graceland Cememtery in Shelby Co., OH.

I know not why they were moved, but it apparently happened ages ago. The cemetery where they were first buried is still operational, so I am not aware if it were for religious reason or ????

Hoping this helps solve some of your mystery and give you other sources to research.

By clicking on my name at the top, you can find my email address and check out all my messages. Let me know some of your surnames and I will check to see if I have any of them.

Happy searching.

If any of this sounds familiar, I believe I have some spouse information
