In order to put things into perspective as to who I am, I will give you some history. My father is Robert Immel. His parents where Howard Wilbur Immel and Sylvia Fon Graham. Howard's parents where George Immel and Susan Lankford. Susan's parents where James Lankford and Mary Grace Lane. As you know, Mary Grace Lane's second husband was Nicholas Haas.
You mentioned a second murder associated with Nicholas and Mary. Susan Lankford had a brother, George J. Lankford, the son of Mary. I am assuming this is the son in question. George's second wife was Willia Lane. George too murdered his wife and then committed suicide on May 21, 1893 in Marietta, Ohio. Mary and Nicholas died the previous January, 1893.
I find it interesting that Mary's first husband, James Lankford had a sister named Patience who married Mary's brother, Thomas Lane. Also, George J. Lankford second wife that he murdered was also a Lane. What the connection is I don't know. Maybe you can tell me more about the second murder. I realize you are on vacation so I can wait till you get home and have time. Thanks.
