We have the baptismal certificate of my great-great grandfather, John Caspar Haas(certificate says Johann). His father was Jacob Haas, mother Christiana Brunner. John was born in 1855, and baptised in 1856 in Peru, OH, Huron county.
The certificate is in german. It has Caspar Joseph Haas and Maria Duffner as godparents or witnesses. The phrase before their names is 'Die Iaufpathen find'(I think the last letter is a d).
I have family information about John and his wife Sarah Ellen Overmyer, but nothing about his siblings or ancestors.
