Thanks for the reply. Your info has no obvious conflicts with what is known about my Haas and Adolph ancestors. Maybe we can get a connection. My Henry Haas and his daughter Catherine were both born in Germany. Be on the lookout for any record of Catherine's birth there, which would be after 1860, based on the 1908 DOB of her youngest child. She died after 1927 (based on the fact that my grandparents lived with her for the first few months of their marriage in 1927.) Do you have dates for Henry Haas or his siblings? If so, it would be great if you would email the info to me at RELIANCE@netcarrier.com. If our Henry Haases were the same individual, he would have immigrated to the U.S. in the range of 1885-1898, probably about 1888. I am inclined to think there could be an intermediate generation. It would be a stretch, but not impossible, for a grand daughter of your Anton Haas, born 1799, to be having her children in the approximate range of 1890-1908 when my Grandfather (1905) and siblings were born. I don't know where my Henry Haas himself settled in the U.S., or names of spouses or other children. I know Catherine and Henry Adolph's children were all born in the Wilkes Barre, Luzerne Co. and South Canaan, Wayne Co., Pa. area. Let's look into the possibility that our Henry Haas might have settled in some wine-producing region as a vintner. Lou
