Haas Family, Germany to N.C. early 1800s

Searching for gggrandmother, Lena Haas,who came alone from Germany at age 18 probably around 1830.Lived in Buncombe co., North Carolina. Married a Rector. A son, Monroe Rector,born 1835,and daughter Katherine all in Buncombe. She must have had family in that area to come alone. Are any N.C. Haas' researching? Where was probable port of entry? She was uneducated but well thought of evidently from my sources. Please help if you can. Any information appreciated so much. Thanks DDDavis
