When Johann Georg Haas and his wife Barbara nee Feder came to America (New York) on July 26, 1859, they brought Kordula Schmitt with them as a servant. Kordula was the daughter of Johann Schmitt and Barbara's sister, Christina. Kordula got off of the ship with them, but when the census was taken in 1860 in Mascoutah Illinois, she wasn't living with them. Does anyone have any ideas as to where she went?
