Milwaukee, Oak Creek, New Coeln Haases!!

I hope someone can find this useful.

I found that my first ancestors to come to America arrived July 5, 1854 in New York on the ship Texas. On board were Liborius age 33, wife Dorthea age 33, and daughters Catharina, Marie Elizabeth, and Christina. Marie Ellis was not known to live to the age of one year old.
Liborius and Dorthea bore 5 more children, Frank, Joseph, Margaret, Martin and Elisabeth. Martin is my Great-Great Grandfather.
When Liborius and Dorthea came into New York, the immediately headed toward Milwaukee, to a town called New Coeln. They left Germany from Cologne. New Coeln is now the area west of Howell Avenue between College and Howard Avenue. They also helped build St. Stephens Church.
I am from this family and I still live in the area. If anyone wants to know any other information, you can feel free to email me at JameeTaylor@yahoo.com. Thanks.
