New information has been found. Gisela Haase was born Feb 25, 1937 in Berlin, Germany. She was married to Hans Brinker of Berlin, Georgia, USA at the date of her death on November 14, 2004 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Further information gives the names of Gisela's children: two sons, Kai Kosick of Berlin, Georgia and Otto Kosick of Moultrie, Georgia. Three daughters, Heidi Kosick and Birgit Bingham both of Berlin, Germany and Elke Burkhalter of Detroit, Michigan.
A phone conversation between John Gates (Gunther Haase at birth) confirmed that Gisela was indeed John's bio mother. Unfortunately, Gisela Haase Brinker passed away before they could meet. I am still searching for information on any of the family members or geneaology. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Gisela Haase also published a book about her childhood which I am searching for information on.
