Oh there are Hackett's in South Dakota, Just not by the spelling Hackit...From what I have been told by my grand dad when the Hackett's moved to the United States..the spelling was Hackit..

not giving you towns of where the people of Suberb of SD because they are my family..and they want that private....Not sure if those names are on your list..My ancestors came from Ireland..if you check my post that is above your original post..you can see how i am relaided or where abouts...most of my ancestors came to Lyndon, Kansas and then moved to Missouri, Iowa and only 3 of us are relaided in SD the other Hacketts not sure where there ancestors came from..
