We are working on our family genealogy as far back as I can trace is July in 1840 my g/g/g grandfather was born in Cork, Ireland. Immigrated here to the United Sates (St. Louis, Missouri) with his family James and Bridgett (we think) was his parents names in 1850(ish). Seems he may had a brother Lawrence and sister Monica.
We know that John worked as a quarry man in or around St. Louis, Mo He's was christined in Ballyhay, Cork, Ireland about 13, july 1840
