Looking for the name of husband of Sally Hackett. Her birth name was Mahala Gorden and sometime later she changed her name to Sally. I have a copy of her SS Application, where she gives her daate of birth as June 7, 1900 (should be about 1905 or 1906) and her parents were James Walker Gorden and Sally Jane Berry. This application shows her as living in Newman, Illinois on August 8, 1938 (date of application). She signed with an "X", and under the signature that someone else signed, are the names, A. J. McClain and Clare McClain. I am wondering if the McClain's and Hackett's are related?
If anyone knows anything about this lady, sure would be interested in hearing about her. She was my grandmother's sister, and I just found a little out about her. Supposedly she was married several times, so maybe she will show up in someone's line. Also, she may have had a daughter that died, but don't know for sure the name or if/when the daughter was born.
