I recently found the parents of John Michael Rank and where he and Christina Hage came from!

Gnadenhutten Moravian Diary's Part IV

p.6

March 1828, Sunday the 9th. The burial of the married brother John Michael Rank occurred at 11 o'clock. Text Hebrews 4:10. He was born Sept. 11th near Lititz to which congregation his parents belonged. In the year 1788 he was united in marriage with the single Christian Hagen, by which wedlock he begot 4 sons and 8 daughters of whom two daughters preceded him to eternity. He lived to see 22 grandchildren from his still living children. He moved into this neighborhood about sixteen years ago. On Feb. 26 he contracted a severe cold and died March 7th, presumably from the effects of a hemorrhage. He reached the age of 64 years and 6 months less 4 days.

OK back to Christina Hage since she and her husband came from Lancaster Co., Pa I did census searches of all the different misspellings of names attributed to her and it seems Hage is the correct spelling. I also thought at one time she could be related to Godfrey Haga through his brother's possible children before doing this search.

In several Moravian sources her name was misspelled many ways!

Christine HEGNER 1
Christine HEGER 2
Christine HOGER 3
Christiana HÖGNER 4
Christine HOGNETISS 5
Christina HAGE 6

We are looking for these in Lancaster Co., PA where John Michael Rank and Christina came from.

After lightly researching these family's in Lancaster Co.,PA I believe her to be a daughter of Johan Jacob Hage and Anna Christina Baumann. It is only a possible at this time but of the Hage families she would fit. It would place her being born in Warwick Twp., Lancaster Co., PA

I need to see if Johann Jacob Hage left a will when he died in 18 Apr. 1825 Conewego Twp., Adams Co., PA.
