Looking for John and Nancy Hampton genealogy information. John Hampton was born about 1788 in Virginia and Nancy (last name unknown) was born about 1797 in North Carolina. They are shown on the 1860 Cape Girardeau County, AppleCreek Township, Missouri census as living with John William (Critz)Crites and Julian A. Crites. I know that John and Nancy Hampton had a son named Charlie Hampton, and at least two daughters - Amanda "Mandy" Hampton and Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hampton. It is thought that the Julian A. (Hampton) Crites on the 1860 census is actually Amanda "Mandy" Hampton. If anyone knows any information, please let me know. I'm at a brick wall on this one. Thanks.
