I am keen to trace my great great great
grandfather Neal, who came to the Scotland sometime before 1832 from Ireland. Most of his descendants (including myself) stayed in Glasgow although some moved to Ayrshire.
He was employed as an Iron-stone miner in Scotland, although he may not have been involved in the same kind of work in Ireland. His wife was Mary Connechin.
