My grgrgrandfather John Harrigan was born June 1858 in the county Cork. I have not been able to establish his parents but family beliefs it could be Dennis and Margaret. I am not sure if that is correct.
If my research is right his siblings were Mary (Margaret), Dennis, Patrick and Julia. (may be more but those that settled in USA).
In the 1900 census it states that he came to USA in 1873.
He married a Sarah Murphy from PA and their first born son Dennis was born in Canada in February 1882.
I have not connected him to the Canadian Harrigans.
I know some of his siblings settled in New York and he eventually settles in Missouri.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
John Burrell
