Hi Anne Marie,
Do yo know if it's ballycastle in Mayo or in Antrim? I have a James Harrigan who emmigrated from Northern Ireland (I was told Derry, near Antrim). He was born in 1837? and died in California in 1906. He emmigrated to Canada and then moved south and married in the 1860's in California. One record I've seen says he had a sister named Mary A and a brother, FL.
You can e-mail me at Rosebeannacht@hotmail.com if you think there's a connection.
Thanks very much.
