You're leaving out some important info in your post from the 1900 census. It shows they were married 32 years, lived in Dane County and that he immigrated in 1858. It also shows her parents were born in Ireland.

They appear to be in the 1880 census in Verona, Dane County under the name Jerry Harryem (it's not easy to read so it could easily be Harrigan). It shows him 37, born in Ireland and Mary 27, born in NY and her parents in Ireland. It lists children Margaret, Dan, John, Edward, Frank. I could not find them in any other census.

If you know where and when Jeremiah and Mary died I suggest getting their obituaries and death certificates.
