Elias Hartong b. ca March 1819 PA, s/o Jacob Hartong and Elizabeth Tritch Hartong. He m. Rebecca Mottinger 10 Feb 1863 Summit Co., OH. Children were: Ulysses Grant, Lillie A., Ora Ida, Jennie May, Cora Ann, Daisy Catherine, Alice Bertha and Laura S. The family lived for some time in Will County, IL. Elias d. 30 Mar 1886. He and Rebecca and six of their children are buried at Glendale Cemetery in Akron.
Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated. I am especially interested in information about Laura. I'd be happy to share descendant information and information about Jacob's family.
