I have a Peter Hartong born abt 1809 in PA. The earliest information I can find on this family is listed on the 1850 Ohio, Virginia census. Spouse name: Mary b VA abt 1810. Children as follows:

Jane Ann Hartong 13 (1837)
Mary M Hartong 12 (1838)
William Hartong 10 (1840)
Harriet N Hartong 7 (1843)
Rose Ann Hartong 6 (1844)
John A Hartong 4 (1847)
Nancy E Hartong 1 (1849)
Louisa Hartong (1851)

In 1880 the family lived in Adams, Guernsey, Ohio. The only information I have on any of these family members is that of Harriet N. Hartong who married James Gettys Robb.

The kicker is that the family allegedly knew the family of John Wilkes booth, and I have a photo of him tucked in a family bible, but no other details.
