Thank you Annie. My late husband is a descendent of William Hawthorn of 1762. We spent 30 years researching our families and what made the Hawthorn family so interesting to me was the fact that James's Hawthorne grandparents were both Hawthorne. Through our research we discovered they were actually 4th cousins and if they knew that it was never talked about.

Thank you for this post and I believe it to be very accurate. Can you tell me anything about Eunice Pierce Wright? I have Pierce family in Conecuh/Monroe counties in the early 1800's and I have been having trouble getting past my 2x great grandfather George Washington Pierce born about 1820. I do believe his father is Reuben Pierce.
