I have found this Hemmings family confusing...I wonder where the original Hemmings is really from.

I was up late last night looking at the Eng. Census and found many John Hemmings for that birth year, the 1871 Census lists a John and Ann from Middlesex, resides in London.

The 1861 lists John and Elizabeth from Gloucestershire and another John and Emma from Middlesex and one in Surry born in Warwickshire. There were 14,000 in all I think for John Hemmings. The above were the first ones I found that did not state a place of death.
