My husbands gr gr gr grandmother was named Margaret Elizabeth Hendon. I found a marriage records that says that she was married to Robert Peter Aaron in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on September 29, 1860. Up until this week I thought that they had three children: John Thomas Aaron, Ellen, and Nancy Jane Aaron who is my husbands gr gr grandmother.
This past week, I got her death certificate that states her mother and her father being William Aaron. Now I am wondering if his gr gr gr grandmother was married to Robert Peter Aaron AND maybe his brother William Aaron. I know that Robert Peter Aaron was in the Civil War, but he doesn't appear wirh Margaret Elizabeth in the 1870 census which lists her and the three children. Now I am wondering if maybe he died in the war or what his status is. The census doesn't say that shes widowed.
Margaret Elizabeths mother was named Caroline and she had sisters named Caroline, Sarah and Rebecca. If there is anyone out there who has any information on these Hendons or the Aaron family, I would love to communicate. I would be happy to share whatever I have. Blessings.
