I have been researching this family for years! I would love to find any living descendants. James was first married to Nancy McNairn who died in DeKalb Co., AL. She was part of my family of McNarons, at least we think so, but have not been able to prove it. I know that Rev. Smith died in May of 1900 or 1903 in Wace, TX, and both he and Rachel are buried there in the Smith Cemetery. Rachel died Oct. 14, 1902. Please contact me if you have more info or want mine.
