Star,

William Herget is my 1st cousin, twice removed. Here's a little of what I have, but I do have more.

William Herget was born on June 11, 1893, in Peoria, IL. He died on November 15, 1975, in Peoria. He was buried on November 18, 1975, in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. On September 12, 1924, he married Ella Ruth Williams in Pontiac, IL. Ella was born on September 6, 1897, in Cereal Springs, IL. She died on May 2, 1978, in Peoria, IL, and was buried on May 4, 1978, in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, IL.

William was a WW I Navy veteran. He was an electrical mechanic at Detroit Electic and from 1938-1953 he worked for Hill-Kastien Co. in Peoria, IL. He retired in 1953 and from 1965-1975 he lived in Buehler Christian Memorial Home in Peoria.

William's parents were Joseph Herget and Theresia "Theresa" Koenig Herget. Joseph and Theresia married on August 16, 1885, in Staunton, Macoupin County, IL, and had 6 children.

Joseph Herget was the brother of Karl Herget, my great-grandfather, and the son of Ignace Herget and Barbara Betsz Herget. I have that Ignace was born in "Bohemia" and Barbara was from Bamberg, Bavaria.

I would be happy to share information with you, and I have e-mailed you directly several days ago for which I received a receipt, but I first need to hear what you have and need.

I would also like to know if Ms. Faris has any memory of the Herget family and if she would like me to contact her.

Thank you.

Kevin Miller
