As you can see by the responses, this Surname is rare: What puzzles me, is that there are not many people interested in family roots and values. I have been seeking data on my Family Roots for almost 18 years. Presently, I seek information on the Newfoundland bunch of HIERLIHY's. This history of the NFLD clan, comes from one Timothy HIERLIHY born Ireland, about 1734. My issue, is when WE all pass on, there will be little if nothing at all for our children. Just look at how long it took us to come this far on the ours today. I am very receptive to sharing data with family members, but do not wish any data published for profit, nor to I suppost this attitude. Lets get on board and complete this history of the HIERLIHY clan, for our children. Note the spelling. It takes on many appearances, but I suspect they are all one in the same. In Newfoundland, I found a family 1860, spelling of the surname, HIERLEHIE. Looking forward to a joint effort in securing historical data on our Family Name. Thankyou.
