My maternal grandmother was a Higdon: Susan Ann "Sudie" Higdon, daughter of Bennett "Bennie" Higdon and Margaret Ellen Sims Higdon. Sudie (26 July 1881--25 Nov 1947) married John Albert Stinson (1876-1952)and they had 9 children. They named their first born son "Bennett" after his grandfather Higdon and they named my mother, Margaret Elizabeth Stinson Miller, after her grandmothers-Margaret Sims Higdon and Mary Elizabeth Mulhall Stinson.
Would appreciate any and all info you may wish to share regarding John Thomas and Ignatius, particulary military records and any photo's you may have of people or head stones.
