You might want to look at the Anderson name.....

I have in 1850 Carroll Co TN census a John Higdon born 1826 with wife and two children - one named
Anderson.

living by him are his father Simeon from NC and his brother Thomas G. Higdon born 1815 NC who in 1870s moved to Van Buren Co ARkansas (this is the line I am looking at).

These Higdons came out of North Carolina.....I just thought it interesting that both your line and this NC/TN/AR one has the name Anderson used in naming children.

Sidney for a girl's name is also used in this line, as is the name Caroline

These TN Higdons were Union during the Civil War and that is why they moved from the Benton/Carroll Co TN area after the war. Thomas G. lived near Camden I think just before the war.
