HELP!!!! I'm still trying desparately to get past a pesky, but everpresent, brick wall on my ggrandfather's, James Blackburn Higdon's, family. James Blackburn Higdon was b. 8 Jan 1863 in Kentucky, d. 29 Jan 1911 in Fannin County, Texas. Married Margaret Carmichael Girdler (Girdley)(b. 11 Park 1858, Marion County, Tennessee; d. 1 Jun 1901, Seagoville, TX. m. 3 Dec 1885 in Marion County Tenn. So there is evidence that James Blackburn Higdon spent some time in Tennessee, and possibly is the nephew of Blackburn Higdon. Bible entries say that James Blackburn Higdon went to stay with uncle after his father, Decatur Higdon (b. ? possibly in Kentucky), died. His mother was Martha Henderson (dates unknown- but possibly b. in Kentucky). Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated... Janet Higdon Edrington
