I may be somewhat biased because I contributed some of the information that Mr Hurley included in his book and also helped proofread the final manuscript. Before his death William Hurley devoted countless hours to researching and maintaining his records of many of the most prominent families of Montgomery County Maryland and published a lengthy series of histories of those families. To liken his work to copying names from a phone book is an insult to all who knew him.
