I am looking for information on the ancestors and descendants John Herman Hinkey b April 16, 1809 and Margaretha ?? who emigrated from the Westphalia area of Prussia in the 1850's. They settled in and around Ottawa, Illinois. There were several sons-Antone, Conrad, Chris, Francis, John, Henry, and Herman. Have made contact with descendants of Chris and Francis and we are in the process of exchanging information. Looks like some of the family came out to the West and Canada while others stayed in Illinois. Antone was my mother's grandfather.Please reply if you have a connection to this family. Would be glad to share what I have.
