Cynthia,

I have been 'cruising' other genealogy sites. Found a Jettie Carl Holden, b. 27 Aug 1898, Hubbard, TX; d. 3 Sep 1972, Abilene, TX; bur. Elmwood West Cemetery Abilene, Taylor Co., TX. Not to say this is him. One of his sons name is Don Carl Holden. No dates give, living at the time the info was posted and there's nothing telling me when that was. Not of my Holden line.

I also looked on FindAGrave and found 15 Carl Holdens, scattered all over the USA.

So, you can see that searching without a date is searching blind. If you can get a possible date, search the Census Records for El Paso, TX around that timeframe; and, all of TX, then expand.

Good luck on your searches!

Twila
