1860 photograph of college students, Harford Co., MD

I have a page from the Steptember/October, 2005, issue of the Maryland Magazine, which includes this photo. The article mentions Washington College in Chestertown, and St. John's College in Annapolis, but does not mention if these men attended either of these colleges. Their first names are also not mentioned; but a home state is.

"These five posed for an unidentified photographer on a riverbank in Harford County (MD) in 1860. They are, from left to right, 'Woodbridge (California), Strump (Maryland, Beckman (New Jersey), Dashiell (Maryland), and Holden (New Jersey)."

I believe the original photograph is in the records of the Maryland Historical Society.
