Looking for any info on John Irvine Holden who owned Hartshill Brick and Tile Co. in Hartshill, Stoke on Trent, England and lived in *Irvindale* on Princes Road. Their son Norman immigrated to Canada in the early 1900s and settled near Regina Saskatchewan where he married Lela Linton and moved to Vancouver, BC. John and Flo had several children, Eda, Charles, Jack, Norman and possibly others that may include Emmie, Doug, Gladys, Trix. Norman is my husband Williams Grandfather. Norman had survived Vimy Ridge in WWI and was discharged with honours after loosing an eye and a leg. He died in 1964. We think he was born in 1892 in Staffordshire, but not sure. We got all this info from Family heirloom postcards. John and Flo and family used to travel quite a bit to the Isle of Man.
