Sorry I can't help you, but am in the same boat as you with the sister of Willis Barnes Holden. I descend from his sister Hester Holden who married Duncan Blackman. I have been unable to locate them in the 1870 census records as well. I suspect that they may have moved from Sabine Parish Louisiana to Montgomery County Texas or maybe even Williamson County Texas. I know Willis was in Texas before this, so their disappearnce from the 1870 census may not have anything to do with each other maybe just coincidence that they do not appear.
Should I happen to run across Willis in the 1870 census I will surely let you know.
