Pg. 576, 577, ROBERT MARION HOLLAND, Braddock, is a native of Carroll Co., Ohio, born Aug. 29, 1850, a son of WILLIAM and NANCY (THOMPSON) HOLLAND, former a native Carroll Co., Ohio, and both of Scotch-Irish descent. WILLIAM HOLLAND came to Braddock in 1852, and there died in 1875, at the age of 77 years, leaving two sons and two daughters, all yet living. ROBERT M., who is the youngest, was educated at Pittsburgh and Braddock Academy, and since 1870 has been a successful dealer in real estate, with offices in both Pittsburgh and Braddock. In 1885 MR. HOLLAND was elected vice-president of the First National Bank of Braddock, a position he is still filling with much acceptance. In 1880 he married LIZZIE, daughter of J. N. SHALLENBERGER, a member of an old and respected family of this county, and the result of the union is one child, MARIE. MR. HOLLAND is a member of the F. & A. M. and the I. O. O. F. He is an adherent of the Disciples’ Church, and is a democrat.
