I need proof that the Lawrence Hollenbeck listed in the Linn Co.Iowa history book is actually our descendant. Family oral and written history says they came to Linn Co. Iowa and that Sarah Lewis Hollenbeck died in Marion. It fits that he started a Masonic Lodge as many residents of York in Clark County who came from New York were Masons.

One reasearcher I had helping me did not think this Lawrence Hollenbeck was our ancestor. But I think it is. I have census information on property and I need to follow up on that to see if I can get anymore information.
