Hello Patty, I am searching for my desendants on the Holsonback. My Grandmother was Effie Odessa Holsonback, the daughter of M. W. Holsonback (Matt). He had 12 children, 6 of them died young and believed to be buried in the Curtis Cemetery. This information comes out of the family bible. M. W. Holsonback (Matt)B:2/23/1880 D:10/8/1967 (toumbstone says B:1877) Wife: Dollie Holsonback (?)B:7/1/1878 D:9/22/1946 Children:(12) I believe James J. & Minerva are his Parents. My Grandmother said that they lived in the basement of Winston County Court House and was a deputy sheriff at one time. He has a 1/2 brother James Newton which was a U.S. Mashall. I also have a newspaper cliping that came out of my grandmothers bible showing a golden wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. A. B. Holsonback of Kennedy, AL and it was at the home of their daughter A. G. Junkin. Other children there was Mrs. Howard Hydrick of Millport, AL Matt Holsonback also had a twin brother that they called Sherm (Sherman). Where abouts is unknown could be in the Sand Mt. area this is all we know of the Holsonback Family at this time. Please Reply!!!
