I have a small branch of Hornung's in my tree that I am looking to find anything on...here is what I know to be true
Father...George Hornung b Germany
Mother...Magdelena Werner(?) b Germany
At least one issue
William Hornung b Jan 18,1877 Germany
Family came to US in 1903 and settled in Brooklyn, New York, father is listed as a "grocer"
Son, William married Lena Killian in Brooklyn on October 15,1908 in Kings County, Brooklyn, New York.
William and Lena Hornung lived in Brooklyn and William was a Saloon Keeper, he also raced cars on a dirt track. William and Lena had the following children
Madeline Hornung- Bergfleth b Sep 7,1909 Brooklyn, NY
John Hornung b 1912 Brooklyn, NY
Robert Hornung b 1914 Brooklyn, NY
William Hornung died suddenly on Feb 6,1914 and is buried in Holy Trinity Cem in Brooklyn.
Lena Hornung remarried in 1929 to Vincent Bestmann and they moved to Long Island, they had no children.
